Site Mixes Style & Tech

Depew, NY —

Technology meets hands-on-shopping in one of New York’s latest showrooms. Located in upstate Depew, the new state-of-the-art showroom provides customers with an authentic shopping experience coupled with modern technological amenities.

Opened in June, the Bath, Kitchen and Lighting Gallery by Ferguson Enterprises features fully-functional displays and a vast selection of products, fixtures and appliances. The showroom is one of 275 from Ferguson across the country, all of which offer products from Kohler, Moen, Delta, Hansgrohe, Grohe, and others.

Fergusons’s primary clientele includes builders, remodelers, designers and plumbers, though the showroom is open to the public as well. Many customers visit the showroom to view the vignettes for inspiration and to visualize what they want in their remodeling projects.

“We have displays that represent every style and budget,” comments Christine Dwyer, senior public relations coordinator of Ferguson.

Style and Substance

This Erie County showroom has expanded its space, tripling the square footage. The newly updated site features working lighting displays, working kitchens, appliances from the primary players and the latest in plumbing products.

The updated space, like the other Ferguson showrooms, is laid out in an open-air style, allowing customers to roam through the vignettes. Bathroom displays, as well as kitchens and appliances, are grouped together and organized by brand.

Akin to other Ferguson showrooms, the gallery includes working displays that allow clients to experience the function of the products first hand before making a purchase. “Having the ability to touch and use the products gives the customer an authentic shopping experience,” comments Dwyer.

She stresses that showroom visitors show certain preferences when walking through the displays.

“Our most popular displays tend to be the ones with the newest technology that often ‘wow’ customers with their functionality,” explains Dwyer.

A 42” flat screen television is even on hand for customers who want to view products not displayed in this specific location.

“The new showroom offers customers a one-of-a-kind shopping experience,” says Shelly Hermans, showroom manager. “We are excited about the expansion and the opportunity to strengthen our relationships with contractors, builders, architects, designers and homeowners in the Erie and Niagara markets.”

In the months ahead, the newly expanded showroom is expected to host cooking demonstrations, educational seminars and designer-only events.
