Showroom Welcomes Visitors Home

ALACHUA, FL — At the end of the day, nothing is as comforting as coming home. Quality DesignWorks is banking on it.

The directive for the design of the company’s new showroom was to make it feel like home, according to Sherolyn Gregory, ASID, who was charged with creating the look for the 3,000-sq.-ft. space.

“We wanted to make the space feel like our clients were entering a home – that they should feel comfortable while viewing complete kitchen and bath displays that they could picture in their own homes,” reports Gregory.

Created by Bryan Nazworth, who has owned and operated Quality Plumbing, Inc. with his family in the Gainesville area for over 25 years, the new showroom is the only one of its kind in the area, according to Gregory.

“We show complete installations, including a full working kitchen and working bathrooms,” she notes. Quality DesignWorks also features a selection center.

In total, there are 12 displays throughout the showroom, including four that are operational.

“Our working kitchen is used for cooking demonstrations and small gourmet cooking classes,” reports Gregory. The showroom is also offered to groups for meetings and special events.

The four-person staff encourages visitors to try the live displays – even the working air bath tub.

A galley kitchen is also featured among the displays “to show that a lot of space is not necessary to include all of the appliances, storage and interesting design available,” she comments.

There is even a full outdoor kitchen, complete with pergola. “Outdoor kitchen design/build is part of our offering,” states Gregory.

Products include cabinet selections from Showplace Wood Products, Nature Coast Millworks and Timberlake Cabinetry. Countertop materials – including quartz, granite, solid surface, concrete, wood, glass and tile – are also featured, along with flooring, tile, paint, light fixtures and appliances. “Space planning for furniture placement is also available as part of the process to make sure that everything works as a total living environment,” stresses Gregory.

The staff at Quality DesignWorks is busy gearing up for next month’s Taste of Home – Iron Chef Competition Event, a major event planned to draw new customers to the showroom.

All in all, they are settling in for a long stay in their new home.
