Sunrise Custom Homes set out to build a new home reminiscent of an old English/Scottish castle. Classical styling inspired room sizes, layout and millwork. The clients demanded heavy mouldings and millwork, and custom hand-carved panels, frieze mouldings and corbels. One specific use of the home was to host philanthropic events with up to 200 guests. Challenges included carrying classically inspired details throughout the home, locating stock and custom hand-carved mouldings and wood carvings. The architect and interior designer established a strong footprint of rubbled castle design and proportioned classical detail from 200 B.C. Rome to a modern-day castle. One company engineered and manufactured all millwork, mouldings, corbels, curved work and doors.
