- Jack Eitzen of Saratoga, CA-based Eitzen Construction based his design for this new-construction, 7,200-sq.-ft. Murrieta, CA home on classical Italian architecture.
- The cabinetry, custom work from Krogstad Distinctive Cabinetry, features an eight-layer furniture finish both on the perimeter and island cabinets. The Verde Fantastico granite on the island was chosen to highlight the slate tilework on the barrel ceiling; the Absolute Black granite perimeter countertops were selected to make the island colors pop.
- An unusual focal point, the ceiling is done in a barrel style, with hand-cut slate tiles worked in a herringbone pattern.
- Materials/products used include tumbled travertine floor tiles, slate ceiling tiles, stainless steel appliances including a 60" Wolf range and an integrated refrigerator hidden behind custom cabinet panels.
