FastFloor by Rhino Home Pro

Although garages are not at the top of the list of areas of the home that are remodeled, there are millions of them across the United States just waiting for a little attention. Rhino Home Pro is giving garages a little boost and a lot of “wow” factor with its new innovative floor sealing product.

FastFloor by Rhino Home Pro is a decorative yet durable coating solution for residential and commercial flooring. FastFloor is a color stable polyaspartic coating, allowing it to keep its beauty without color shifts seen with other coating systems such as epoxies. FastFloor offers superior protection against abrasion, impact and chemicals. It installs in a day and is ready the next. Currently there are 42 Rhino Home Pro dealers in the United States, a number that the company hopes to double or triple this year alone.

Rhino Linings was started in South Africa 21 years ago by Russell Lewis, who brought his knowledge of polyurethanes to the United States and launched his own machine to spray it. Used for lining truck beds, this new product became popular, turning Rhino Linings into the largest spray-in bed liner business in the world today.

The new division, Rhino Home Pro, was started when a need by the industrial side of the business to create a flooring material that would be chemical-resistant was created. Rhino began looking for other uses for the polyaspartic material they created and decided it would be perfect for the 65 million garages in the United States. That product is FastFloor and was launched in March 2008.

“Most garage floors begin to break away and crack,” says Jenny Clifford, marketing manager for Rhino Home Pro. “It stains very easily with oil, acids and anything that leaks. FastFloor will not only reseal it, but it will protect it.”
FastFloor is color stable, meaning it can take direct UV exposure without color shifts. It also will keep its glossy shine, has a high chemical resistance and doesn’t cause hot tire peel. Plus FastFloor contains zero VOCs, can be applied in temperatures down to 32 degrees F and can be applied to a garage floor in one day and then driven on the next.

Although most dealers roll it, FastFloor can be sprayed with a 1:1 high-pressure machine. The finished product also has no real long-term maintenance, allowing spills to be simply mopped up.

Currently, Rhino Home Pro is adding epoxies to the Home Pro line and will soon be launching its Rhino EcoStain. The EcoStain is bio-based, odorless, nontoxic and environmentally safe for interior or exterior applications.
