Fiberon partners with Huttig for Midwest distribution

NEW LONDON, N.C. (May 14, 2009) – Fiberon announced that its strategic partnership with Huttig Building Products will expand the Fiberon brand decking and railing presence in the states of Ohio, northern Kentucky, West Virginia and eastern Indiana.

"We are pleased with our growing relationship with Huttig Building Products. The Ohio market, in particular, delivers the Fiberon product line and Huttig new opportunities to grow our market share and further strengthen our brands. At the local level, Dave McCormack's management style, his dynamic sales team and strong customer base provide the Fiberon brand with truly significant growth opportunities. This is a good relationship, getting stronger," affirms Bill Ross, Vice President of Sales for Fiberon.

“We're excited about adding Fiberon decking to our product offering in Columbus," said Greg Gurley, Huttig VP, Product Management, Marketing and National Accounts. "Low maintenance decking is a major product category for our company and Fiberon has demonstrated its leadership in developing state-of-the-art products and a willingness to support our dealers in growing share with deck builders."

This expansion is indicative of growing homeowner demand for alternative decking products that are innovative, reliable and low maintenance. The unique PermaTech surface innovation of the Horizon decking allows it not only to resist stains and fading, but mold and scratching as well. Sensibuilt PVC decking's Lumenite surface innovation provides superior fade resistance that raises the bar for performance in the PVC category. Fiberon also recently announced an industry first: a 10-year stain and fade warranty on both Horizon composite decking and Sensibuilt PVC decking.

Fiberon innovation and reliability delivers superior products to distributors, their contractor customers and the homeowners they serve. In addition to alternative decking, Fiberon manufactures composite railing and fencing products, all sold to professional contractors through a national network of distributors. Learn more.
