EHX and CEDIA announce partnership

CEDIA University to offer leading training at Electronic House Expo


INDIANAPOLIS (October 17, 2008) – Electronic House Expo, the long standing event serving the custom electronics industry, and the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA), the industry’s leading education and networking provider today announced an expanded partnership, to offer a customized selection of CEDIA University training courses and certification for custom electronic systems professionals. Beginning with the March 2009 event, EHX Spring will host CEDIA University during the annual Electronic House Expo tradeshow.

“Bringing CEDIA University to EHX Spring is a positive development for the industry and a strong statement on the importance of both brands to our customers and the industry," said Jim Wagner, General Manager of the EHX events.

“Both CEDIA and EHX offer leading events for the custom electronics industry, and by working together, we will better serve all custom electronics professionals that recognize the importance of top-level industry training and education,” said Ken Erdmann, CEDIA Education Council Chairman.

Beginning with EHX Spring 2009, CEDIA University will offer at least 55 core courses from CEDIA’s five colleges during EHX. The selection of 55 courses to be offered is customized to meet the needs of EHX attendees and will address diverse training needs including system design, technical skills, emerging technologies and business & strategy training.

The joint decision to offer CEDIA University at EHX Spring demonstrates both brands commitment to better serve the custom electronic systems industry. EHX Spring 2009 annually hosts nearly 10,000 professionals active in the custom electronics market. The 2009 event is scheduled to take place March 11-14 at the Orlando Convention Center.
