This past May, our panel of judges examined hundreds of entries for Residential Design & Build’s 2008 Excellence Awards.
This past May, our panel of judges examined hundreds of entries for Residential Design & Build’s 2008 Excellence Awards. The end result is a group of 30 elite projects and those who crafted them. Winners range from a custom home with more than 7,000 sq. ft. to details as specific as an architectural element. As each project objective, challenge and solution are detailed for the winning projects, it’s hard not to be motivated, excited and encouraged about the successes happening in the custom home community.
Judges on this year’s panel (pictured right) included Mark Perlman, president, Empeco Custom Builders; John Anstad, AIA, managing principal, Orren Pickell Design Group; Tracy Holmes, president, Studio H Designs; and Craig Ciaglia, general manager, Homes by Pinnacle.
