Des Plaines, IL — The City of Milwaukee has awarded Gerberit Starline, the Milwaukee-based foundry of Geberit, for the company’s “exemplary commitment to superior environmental performance and continuous stewardship,” Geberit officials announced.
The award is the city’s way of honoring companies that protect the environment and public health, especially with respect to nearby Lake Michigan, from which Milwaukee draws its water supply.
“Improving water quality and environmental protection are key matters for the company. I find it critical that Geberit contribute toward preserving our nature for future generations,” said Bud Hansen, general manager at the Milwaukee foundry.
Geberit North America, based in Des Plaines, IL, markets concealed installation systems for residential wall-hung toilets, as well as bath waste and overflows.
