Brown Wood Conducts Local Woodland Cleanup

Chicago — Brown Wood Products, the Chicago-area cabinet component supplier, has adopted St. Paul Woods, a portion of the Cook County Forest Preserve of Illinois, as part of the company’s “Going Green” initiative.

In an effort to promote corporate awareness of the importance and fragile nature of America’s forests, Brown Wood Products conducted a forest cleanup and invasive species removal day for employees and their families, officials announced.

The objectives for the cleanup effort were to remove litter and trash from the recreational area and surrounding wooded area of St. Paul Woods Forest Preserve, and to remove the invasive species Buckthorn.

Brown Wood will continue to hold seasonal, quarterly cleanups of the woodlands, company officials said.
