A culinary chef deserves the utmost when it comes to his or her work environment — the kitchen. That is exactly what the results were in a complete kitchen remodel by Eberle Remodeling from Sacramento, Calif.
The goals for this project included designing and building a functional, yet striking showplace with a nook seating area where the chef could interact with the guests, while not having them “in the way.” With most kitchens, storage is a necessity and this kitchen needed exactly that, especially with the gadgets this chef had acquired. The client also wanted to utilize angles in the somewhat ordinary rectangular and boxy space.
The crew designed the new kitchen walls on a 45-degree angle, as was the entire orientation of the new kitchen to create an interesting and distinctive look. The new single-level island was designed to allow for optimum space utilization and housed the sink, dishwasher, undercounter wine refrigerator and various storage cabinets. Creatively designed, Eberle framed-in an angled pantry cabinet behind the kitchen island and installed hockey puck accent lighting for a very balanced kitchen lighting scheme.
With this uniquely designed remodel, the judges noted what a “great value this was for the customer.”
