The Kitchen & Bath Design & Remodeling Expo will take place Oct. 9-11, at the Valley Forge Convention Center in King of Prussia, PA.
Developed by Kitchen & Bath Design News, the conference program at the three-day event will feature a dozen cutting-edge seminars designed to address issues facing kitchen and bath professionals. All seminars will offer continuing education (CEU) credits for members of the National Kitchen & Bath Association.
“This event features one of the highest-quality educational programs available in the kitchen and bath industry,” said show director Pati Beaulieu, of the Burnsville, MN-based Cygnus Expositions.
“Our seminars are aimed at providing practical and timely information that attendees can apply to their businesses for greater profitability and professionalism," she added.
The conference program has been organized around three distinct tracks: Kitchen, Bath & Showroom Design; Sales & Marketing; and Business Management.
As part of the Kitchen, Bath & Showroom Design track, Melissa Galt, principal of Melissa Galt, Inc., will present “Style Smarts: Using Signature ‘Theme’ Designs to Increase Your Value.” This seminar will introduce the basics of theme design, including essential research tools, key resources and marketing tips for growing this end of the business. Galt is an interior designer, national speaker and author known for her work with clients to design their signature style.
“Upgrading Your Clients: How to Move Into High-End Design,” part of the Sales & Marketing track, will examine how design professionals can brand themselves for a specific market and how they can upgrade their brand and clients by improving their image, showroom, service philosophy and product selection. Rick Glickman, president of Dream Kitchens, will be leading the 90-minute session. Glickman has been involved in commercial and residential kitchen design for more than 20 years.
Thompson Price, president of Callier & Thompson Kitchens and Baths, will speak on “Collecting the Final Payment,” as part of the Business Management track. Attendees at this session will learn tips for dealing with difficult clients, preventing conflicts that can delay payment, and protecting against legal action by clients looking to avoid their end of the contract. Price has been working in the kitchen and bath industry since 1972 and is a member of the NKBA’s Hall of Fame.
“We have some of the industry’s leading educators presenting at this year’s show,” Beaulieu commented. “Their knowledge and experience with the issues facing today’s kitchen and bath professionals will provide attendees with the information they need to stay ahead of their competition and enable their businesses to succeed.”
The Kitchen & Bath Design & Remodeling Expo Northeast will also host a diverse exhibit hall, featuring the leading products, services and technology available for kitchen and bath professionals.
