AWFS Elects 2007 Slate of Officers

City of Commerce, CA — The Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers, a trade association serving the woodworking and cabinet manufacturing industries, has elected its 2007–2008 Board of Directors.

Officers who continue for their second year of a two-year term are: President Skip Hem, Royal Plywood Co.; V.P./President-elect Joan Kemp, CP Adhesives, Inc.; Secretary/Treasurer Jeff Oliverson, Koch Ltd. Machinery Systems, and Immediate Past President Barry Howerton, Leggett & Platt.

In addition, Robert Slater, of Stiles Machinery, is set to begin his first term on the board, while Kevin Bedell of Foamex, Inc. and Tom Elliott of Costa & Grissom Machinery have both been re-elected to a second three-year term.

Membership in the City of Commerce, CA-based AWFS includes manufacturers and distributors of machinery, hardware, lumber and other supplies to cabinet and furniture manufacturers and custom woodworkers.

The association also produces a major trade show, the AWFS Fair, a biennial event scheduled this year for July 18-21 in Las Vegas.
