Katrina Rebuilding Program Gets CaesarStone Backing

Sun Valley, CA — CaesarStone, the Sun Valley, CA-based supplier of quartz surfaces, is sponsoring a program aimed at rebuilding Gulf Coast homes destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.

CaesarStone announced it has committed to providing quartz countertops for all Gulf Coast homes that are developed by Architecture for Humanity, a charitable organization that has partnered with Oprah’s Angel Network and the Biloxi Relief Recovery and Revitalization Center though its Model Home Program.

The goal of the Model Home Program is to provide design services and financial assistance for the construction of new homes for families whose houses were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. To date, five homes have been sponsored and are under development, with volunteer architects working to meet post-Katrina FEMA construction standards, CaesarStone officials said.

“Working with Architecture for Humanity has provided us with an amazing opportunity to do something tangible to help those families who have lost everything,” said Arik Tendler, president of CaesarStone. “I’m thrilled that CaesarStone is able to participate in such a worthwhile and important program.”
