2007 Executive Committee Appointed by the NKBA

Hackettstown, NJ — The National Kitchen & Bath Association has announced the appointment of its 2007 Executive Committee.

The Hackettstown, NJ-based NKBA named the following individuals to lead the association:

¦ President: Bob Garner, CMKBD. The national training and education manager for Medallion Cabinetry, in Waconia, MN, Garner was active in the NKBA’s Baltimore-Washington Chapter for seven years, serving as president, among other positions. He has also served on the national level for 10 years, including the board of governors representing the wholesale distributors member segment, the board of directors, the finance committee and the national executive board. He is the first NKBA president elected from the manufacturers/suppliers industry segment.

¦ President-Elect: Sara Ann Busby, CKD. Busby has owned and operated Sara Busby Design, a residential kitchen and bath showroom in Elk Ridge, MI, for 15 years. She was involved in the formation of the Northern Michigan Chapter of the NKBA. She also serves on the membership committee of BKBG.

¦ Vice President: Suzie Williford. Manager of Luxury Products at Houston, TX-based Kiva Kitchen and Bath, Williford has served the decorative hardware and plumbing industry in Texas since 1975. She has been a member of the NKBA since 1978 and has held a position on the board of directors since 2001. Williford also served on the National Speakers Bureau and has been invited to speak at colleges, showrooms, design centers and conventions.

¦ Secretary: Mark Karas, CMKBD. Karas, general manager of the Stoneham, MA-based Adams Kitchens, Inc., has been working in the kitchen and bath industry for three decades, and has been involved with the NKBA at the local chapter level for some 20 years. He has served as v.p./communications, v.p./programs and as chapter president in 1996 and 1997.

¦ Treasurer: David Alderman, CKD. Alderman has been an NKBA member for the past 22 years. He has served as v.p./professional development and v.p./programs. He has also held office as chapter president and he has been active on the board of directors. A veteran of nearly 30 years in the kitchen and bath industry, he is the president/owner of Dave’s Cabinet, Inc., in Chesapeake, VA.

¦ Immediate Past President: Allan S. Pattison, CMKBD. Pattison is a CMKBD with nearly 35 years of experience in the kitchen and bath industry. The manager of Kitchen Korner in Aldergrove, British Columbia, Canada, Pattison founded the Western Canada Chapter of NKBA and has served as a chapter officer and on the national board of directors since 1988. He also served as a teaching professional for six years, presenting NKBA courses throughout North America.
