Bethesda, MD — Jeff Robboy, president of Baci by Remcraft, a Miami-FL-based manufacturer of high-end decorative lighting and make-up mirrors, has become the fifth president of the Decorative Plumbing & Hardware Association (DPHA).
Robboy assumed the DPHA presidency at the association’s recent Annual Meeting in Colorado Springs, CO. He is the second manufacturer to serve as president of the Bethesda, MD-based DPHA, a trade association whose membership includes dealers, as well as manufacturers and manufacturer’s representatives.
Joining Robboy on the DPHA 2006 Board of Directors are: president-elect Debbie Miller (Miller’s Decorative Plumbing); secretary Faye Norton (Designer Hardware by Faye); treasurer Jonathan Wood (Brasstech), and immediate past president Jim Babbitt (Hot2Cold).
Also named as directors were Melissa Allen (Cobblestone Court), Larry Brodey (Jaclo Industries), Jeff Burton (The Bath and Beyond), Chuck Butch (Altmans), David Crossley (William R. Castor & Associates), Tony Carter (Carter Hardware), Rod Denhart (Legacy Brass, Inc.), Rene DeRose (DeRose Designs), Jack Fase (Alno Inc.), Bill Fiddler (Fiddlers), Barry Goldberg (Union Hardware), Jamie Gregg (Colonial Bronze), Marilyn Hermance (Westheimer Plumbing & Hardware) and Dick Isaacs (Mariner America).

The DPHA also presented a series of awards at its Annual Meeting.
The DPHA recognized Faye Norton, of Designer Hardware by Faye, Oklahoma City, OK, as the “2006 DPHA Showroom Professional of the Year.” Also recognized were Dan Beaudet, of Dan Beaudet Company, Hooksett, NH, as the “2006 Representative of the Year,” and Jamie Gregg, of Colonial Bronze, Torrington, CT, as the “2006 Manufacturing Professional of the Year.”
Norton, Beaudet and Gregg were honored for their outstanding contributions to advance the decorative plumbing and hardware industry. They were cited specifically for their involvement in DPHA activities, personal achievements in the industry, pursuit of personal improvement and education, job performance and accomplishments and involvement in and support of professional trade organizations.
DPHA also presented two “Showroom of the Year” awards, to Community Home Supply (Chicago) and Sonoma Kitchen and Bath (Santa Rosa, CA). The awards recognize a showroom’s training and marketing programs, customer service, involvement and support of the industry, merchandising and innovative presentation of decorative plumbing and hardware within the showroom.
DPHA named KWC’s Waterstation as the “2006 Innovative Product of the Year” in recognition of technological and design innovation. The Waterstation is a multi-functional integrated work center that serves as a focal point of a high-performance kitchen.
DPHA honored Environmental Water Systems with the “Customer Service Department of the Year” award, and Hot2Cold (Northfield, IL) and Cool Lines USA (East Rockaway, NY) as the “2006 Representative Agencies of the Year.”
In addition, Jack Fase, CEO of Alno, Inc. was inducted into the DPHA, Council of Fellows, which recognizes outstanding members’ career and industry accomplishments.
