Three Lighting Seminars Set for San Francisco

San Francisco — A trio of lighting seminars aimed at kitchen/bath designers and business owners will be conducted next month in conjunction with the “Managing for Maximum Profit” business management seminar being co-sponsored by Kitchen & Bath Design News and the SEN Design Group in San Francisco.

The lighting seminars, being presented by Task Lighting Corp. and Wright Source, will be held in three separate area locations during the three days leading up to the Nov. 3 KBDN-SEN seminar.

The KBDN-SEN seminar – the third in a three-part series being presented in 2006 – will take place Nov. 3 at the Crowne Plaza San Francisco Airport Hotel, 1177 Airport Blvd., Burlingame, CA 94010, noted KBDN editorial director and publisher, Eliot Sefrin.

The scheduled lighting seminars will be presented on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 9:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., at the Hilton Garden Inn, 10741 N. Wolfe Road, Cupertino, CA.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 9:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1800 Powell St., Emeryville, CA.
  • Thursday, Nov. 2, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Crown Plaza, 1777 Airport Blvd., Burlingame, CA, 94010.

The seminars are specifically aimed at providing kitchen and bath designers with information about how to best measure and calculate proper light levels and spacing; select fixtures for general, accent and task lighting; and create simple electrical layouts and calculations, Sefrin pointed out.

The primary focus for dealer/business owners will be on how to make lighting a profitable addition to a business, working with electrical contractors and subs, and planning efficient rough-ins for trouble-free and seamless installations.

Scheduled seminar speakers are Ken Anderson CKD, President of Task Lighting Corp. and Linda Anderson, Task Lighting Corp.’s v.p./sales & marketing.

There is no charge for the seminars, but attendees must register in advance by contacting either Task Lighting at (800) 445-6404, or Wright Source at (408) 275-6383.
