Hackettstown, NJ — The National Kitchen & Bath Association and Kitchen & Bath Design News have announced an exclusive multi-year agreement for the magazine to publish special issues devoted entirely to content from the NKBA’s new Professional Resource Library.
The announcement marks an expansion of an existing relationship between KBDN and the Hackettstown, NJ-based NKBA. The magazine and trade association currently co-produce a highly successful series of seminars aimed at enhancing the design skills, professionalism and profitability of kitchen and bath dealers, designers and product specifiers.
“We believe the content produced by NKBA for the Professional Resource Library has immense value to the industry, and this agreement significantly furthers our shared commitment to industry education and development,” said Eliot Sefrin, KBDN’s editorial director and publisher. “We’re delighted to be expanding our relationship with NKBA.”
The first in the planned series of special annual issues will be published in March of 2007, to coincide with the celebration of KBDN’s 25th year of publishing. The publication will be, in effect, a bonus 13th issue of KBDN, and will have an extended reach beyond the magazine’s core circulation. Issues will also be distributed at trade shows, through NKBA-endorsed colleges and through other venues.
The NKBA’s Professional Resource Library, featuring nine new hardcover volumes, is the industry’s premier series of business and design books, offering comprehensive coverage on planning and design, products, construction, mechanical systems, business practices, drawing, project management and more.
“The new Professional Resource Library is emblematic of NKBA’s mission to be the industry’s leading knowledge resource,” said Michael Kelly, CEO of the NKBA, “and we are proud that KBDN’s team recognizes the unique value of our content.”
“We’re also thrilled that the expanded reach of KBDN will help share this information not only with core members of the kitchen/bath industry, but with architects, interior designers, builders, remodeling contractors and others.”
The Professional Resource Library was created to be an invaluable tool for all allied professionals looking to enhance their specialized kitchen and bath knowledge, as well as to provide continuing professional development for those already in the business. The content has been written by industry experts, and thoroughly reviewed by an NKBA technical editor and a select team of NKBA peers.
The first nine volumes will also be the new basis NKBA’s certification exams. They include: Residential Construction, Kitchen & Bath Systems, Design Principles, Kitchen & Bath Products, Kitchen & Bath Business Management, Kitchen Planning, Bath Planning, Kitchen & Bath Project Management and Kitchen & Bath Drawing.
Available only through NKBA, they can be purchased at www.nkba.org. Discounts are available to members, students and others.
