Barand Rights Acquired by Jalco

CRANFORD, NJ — Jaclo Industries, the Cranford, NJ-based manufacturer of hand-held shower systems and accessories, has acquired the trademarks, patents and exclusive manufacturing rights for a variety of Barand products.

Jaclo’s agreement with I.W. Industries and its Barand and Concinnity divisions was completed in January, the firm said. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Acquired from I.W. Industries were the rights to Barand products that include the entire thermostatic valve line, pot fillers, grab bars and door handles, soap and lotion dispensers, rectangular body sprays, flood showers, faucets and Roman tub fillers, among others.

Jaclo also purchased “a sizeable quanity” of Barand inventory, including kitchen, lavatory, Roman tub sets and bar faucets, the company said.

In addition, Jaclo purchased a number of products related to the former Concinnity company, but did not purchase Concinnity, the Concinnity trademark or any faucets previously manufactured by or for Concinnity, unless those products were previously sold under the Barand name, the firm added.

Jaclo also noted that it did not purchase I.W. Industries, and is not responsible nor obligated for prior purchases or product warranties for any material purchased from the Barand or Concinnity divisions of I.W. Industries prior to the transaction.
