HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) has announced the election of its 2006 Executive Committee, naming Allan S. Pattison, CMKBD, as the association’s new president.
Elected to the 2006 Executive Committee, aside from Pattison, were:
President-Elect – Bob Garner, CMKBD, Medallion Cabinetry.
Vice-President – Sara Ann Busby, CKD, Sara Busby Design.
Secretary – Max Isley, CMKBD, Hampton Kitchens of Raleigh, Inc.
Treasurer – Suzie Williford, CMKBD, West-heimer Plumbing & Hardware, Inc.
Immediate Past President – Jeff Cannata, CMKBD, Designer’s Showcase Kitchens & Baths, Inc.
Pattison, who has more than 35 years of experience in the kitchen and bath industry, is the manager of Kitchen Korner, in Aldergrove, British Columbia, Canada. He founded the Western Canada Chapter of NKBA and has served as a chapter officer and on the National Board of Directors since 1988. He also served as a teaching professional for six years, and was inducted into the Ambassadors Club in 1990.
Garner is currently the National Training and Education Manager for Medallion Cabinetry, in Waconia, MN. He has served on the Baltimore/Washington Chapter for seven years, serving as president and holding other positions on the Executive Board. He has also served on the national level for nine years, including a post on the Board of Governors representing the Wholesale Distributor member segment; the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee, and the National Executive Committee, as past Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President.
Busby has owned and operated Sara Busby Design, a residential kitchen and bath showroom in Northern Michigan, for 15 years. She holds a Michigan State Residential Contractors License, as well as a Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) designation. She was involved in the formation of the Northern Michigan Chapter of the NKBA, and also serves as member-at-large on BKBG. She was the 2005 National Secretary for NKBA.
Isley has owned and operated Hampton Kitchens of Raleigh, Inc. in Raleigh, NC, since 1974. He has been a Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) since 1981 and a Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer (CMKBD) since 2002. Isley was appointed as a founding member and is a past chairman of the advisory board for the interior design program at East Carolina University. He is an advisor to the Center for Accessible Housing of the School of Design at North Carolina State University. In addition, he has been a member of the NKBA Board of Directors, as well as a past president of the NKBA Carolinas Chapter, and is currently the first president of the recently created Eastern Carolinas Chapter of the NKBA.
Williford is v.p./sales for Westheimer Plumbing & Hardware, Inc., a leading decorative plumbing and hardware firm with showrooms in Houston and The Woodlands, TX. She has been a member of the NKBA since 1978 and has held a position on the Board of Directors representing the decorative plumbing and hardware industry since 2001. She is an active member of numerous trade and community organizations, and has been an advisor to manufacturers in product development and sales training.
Cannata is owner of Designer’s Showcase Kitchens & Baths, Inc. in Carol Stream, IL. He is a graduate of Illinois State University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology, with specialties in architecture and woodworking. He earned his Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) in 1995 and Certified Bathroom Designer (CBD) in 2003, and was inducted into NKBA’s Ambassador’s Club in 1998. He has served in numerous positions within the Chicago Mid West Chapter, and previously held positions on the Board of Directors and Advisory Council of Dealers.
