BETHESDA, MD — The Decorative Plumbing & Hardware Association has published the 12th module for the association’s ongoing Education Program, the DPHA announced.
The association’s newest module, Locks, Latches and Door Hardware Trim, is a training guide for showroom staff members, customer service professionals, rep agencies and others who are new to decorative plumbing and hardware, according to the association.
The module is aimed at assisting in specifying and ordering locks, latches and door hardware trim for single-family homes, the DPHA noted.
Locks, Latches and Door Hardware Trim relates door hardware terminology, installation and function, and identifies common applications for different product types within a home, according to the Bethesda, MD-based DPHA.
In addition, guidance is offered for specifying, scheduling and delivering door hardware, and for relating the value-added services that professional decorative plumbing and hardware showrooms provide to homeowners, designers and trade professionals, the DPHA noted.
The DPHA Education Program comprises a series of manuals. Other modules include: Faucets, Waterclosets and Bidets, Tubs, Steam Systems, Shower Systems, Sinks, Cabinet Hardware, Supplies and Waste Assemblies, Care and Maintenance, Finishes and Hinges.
