HOLSTEIN, IA — VT Industries, the Holstein, IA-based manufacturer of laminate countertops, architectural wood doors and cabinet doors, will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2006.
Founded in 1956, VT has grown over the half century from a single kitchen countertop and bathroom vanity manufacturer to a multi-national corporation with eight manufacturing facilities across North America. “We have been very fortunate to have a great bunch of employees working for us, and all of our success is really due to the great job that they do,” said company president Doug Clausen.
Clausen also cited innovation in manufacturing technology and order processing as a key to the company’s longevity, along with the fact that the company is still family owned and operated.
“Being a privately held company allows us to react quickly to changes in the marketplace, which has been a key to our success,” he noted. “You have to have a competitively priced, higher-quality product than you’ve ever had before, and provide it in a shorter amount of time to succeed in today’s business environment.”
The company has unveiled a 50th-anniversary logo to commemorate its milestone anniversary. The new logo will be seen as part of an expanded marketing push throughout 2006, corporate officials said.
