RESTON, VA — The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association will plant 50,000 trees in the Ozark National Forest as part of the association’s 50th-anniversary celebration, which was marked throughout 2005.
The KCMA, based here, said last month that it had achieved its goal of planting the trees in the 1.2-million-acre forest.
“In addition to beautifying our landscapes, trees provide habitat for wildlife, prevent soil erosion and purify the air,” KCMA executive v.p. Dick Titus said. “This is a most worthwhile project that demonstrates the commitment of our industry to sustainable and responsible forest management.”
