RESTON, VA - The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association has conducted the latest in a series of Laboratory Operators meetings to ensure that all of the testing laboratories used in the association's Certification Program continue to conduct the ANSI/KCMA A161.1-2000 tests in the same manner.
The event was hosted by MasterBrand Cabinets at its Ferdinand, IN arm, where the company maintains a facility capable of conducting all of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) KCMA A161.1-2000 tests.
Laboratory Operators meetings are held bi-annually, said the Reston, VA-based KCMA. On alternate years, KCMA staff visits each lab in an effort to ensure that cabinet certification testing procedures are current, the KCMA said.
The KCMA, which marked its 50th anniversary in 2005, has more than 360 members who manufacture kitchen cabinets and bath vanities, fabricate countertops or supply goods and services to the industry.
