North Attleboro, MA - CorStone Industries, LLC, a manufacturer of acrylic sinks and bathroom lavatories, has undertaken a major expansion program, highlighted by the construction of a $2-million, 36,000-sq.-ft. addition to its manufacturing facility in Greenville, AL, the company announced.
Upon completion of the expansion project, targeted for startup in October, CorStone will operate more than 100,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space. Aside from bolstering the company's manufacturing capabilities, the expanded facility will accelerate the research and development of additional product lines.
"CorStone's expansion plan will accelerate innovation and shorten our time to market with exciting new products," said president and CEO Sam Roberts.
According to Roberts, the expansion follows two years of investments in manufacturing technology and product development by the North Attleboro, MA-based company.
Since beginning production in 1999 at what Roberts says was the first dedicated acrylic sink plant in North America, CorStone now produces some 450,000 units a year at its Greenville, AL factory.
