Charleston, SC Andrew Colannino, CKD, president of Modern Millwork, in Belleville, NJ, has been selected as the seventh recipient of the "M.A. Peterson Businessperson of the Year Award," an annual honor conferred by the SEN Buying Group.

Colannino was honored during SEN's recent National Spring Conference here. He was honored for his company's "outstanding support of SEN Preferred Vendors, his 2003 record of high business achievement and his commendable business practices," according to the Chapel Hill, NC-based SEN.

The "M.A. Peterson Businessperson of the Year Award" is named after the father of SEN founder, Kenneth Peterson, CKD. M.A. Peterson, who died in 1997, helped found the National Kitchen & Bath Association, and served on its board of directors for many years. He was inducted into the NKBA's Hall of Fame in 1988.

  • David Johnson, CKD, president of Better Kitchens & Baths, of Ventura, CA, recognized as "Best Design Studio Businessperson."
     
  • Vince Hodshire and Tamy Severude of Holiday Kitchens, Ken and Linda Anderson of Task Lighting, and Mike Terry of The Hampshire Company, honored as "Vendor of the Year."
     
  • Kevin Telaak, v.p. of Appliance Associates, Buffalo, NY, honored as "Newcomer of the Year."
     
  • Bob Decot, of Charlotte, NC, recognized as "Rep of the Year.
