Villeroy & Boch Gets Design Award

Monroe Township, NJ Villeroy & Boch, based here, has been recognized with a 2004 GOOD DESIGN award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, the company announced.

Cited for its Hype faucet, the European ceramics manufacturer's Bathroom, Kitchen & Tile Division submission was one of 150 products selected for the award. Annually, the Museum receives hundreds of product submissions from around the world for the competition.

Marc Nover, general manager of the Villeroy & Boch division, said: "We're proud to be recognized in the United States and worldwide for our approach to high-quality design through another GOOD DESIGN award. Faucets are a new category for us as we expand into offering a complete range of furnishings for the bath, so it's exciting to win this prestigious recognition at such an early stage."

All of the current GOOD DESIGN award-winning products will be included in an exhibition of current recipients. Following the exhibition, they will be accessed into the Museum's permanent design collection.
