Record Income Posted by Masco

Taylor, MI Masco Corp. has reported that net sales from continuing operations, aided by acquisitions, rose 20% in 2003, to a record $10.9 billion.

Masco, the Taylor, MI-based parent company of Merillat Industries, KraftMaid Cabinetry, Delta Faucet Co. and other key industry suppliers, said that 2003 income from continuing operations for the year ended December 31, 2003 was $740 million.

The publicly traded Masco also reported that it continues to experience "favorable sales performance" in early 2004, and, based on current business trends, believes that it will achieve record sales and earnings this year.
