NARI Offering Kitchen, Bath Certification
Des Plaines, IL The National Association of the Remodeling Industry has launched a certification program aimed at providing contractors with "technical comprehension and skill" in kitchen and bath remodeling.
NARI, which announced its new "Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler" (CKBR) designation last month, said the new national program will offer remodeling contractors "the opportunity to become certified specialists in kitchen and bathroom remodeling through a specialized education program." The course will be open to NARI members who have been working in the remodeling field for at least five consecutive years.
"Demand for kitchen and bath remodels are on the
increase, and both continue to be the most popular rooms in the
home to remodel," NARI said. To obtain CKBR certification,
individuals will have to take a written examination, which will
test for knowledge in computer-aided design, materials selection,
layout standards, installation procedures and trade guidelines, the
trade association added.
