Kitchen & Bath Expo Draws Crowd
London, U.K. In just its second year, the bi-annual Bathrooms & Kitchens EXPO doubled its show floor space and dramatically increased attendance, drawing a record crowd of 8,940 visitors, show sponsors announced.
The event, held May 11 through 13, at ExCeL, Docklands, located here, witnessed a 45 percent increase in visitors over its inaugural show, held in 2001, according to Quantum Business Media, parent company of Bathrooms+Kitchens magazine and organizer of the show.
The three-day event which brought together kitchen and bath designers, retailers, interior designers, home builders, specifiers, architects and other industry professionals from all over the world showcased products from more than 200 leading companies, and offered seminars covering everything from showroom design and open-plan living spaces to the psychology of color.
Based on commitments made at the show, Dray said he expects significant turnout for the next EXPO, scheduled for May 8 through 10, 2005. "We have had an incredibly positive response from exhibitors, with over 70 percent of them already committed to EXPO 2005," he commented.
In conjunction with the 2005 event, the EXPO will unveil a new logo to give the show image a fresh, new look, show sponsors noted.
