Design Contest Open To Pros
Piscataway, NJ American Standard and its affiliated plumbing products manufacturer, Porcher, are "celebrating professional expertise" with their second annual Professional Bathroom Remodel contest, the companies announced last month.
"We find that homeowners who hire professionals are usually extremely enthusiastic about their new bathrooms," said Jeannette Long, director, marketing communications, for the Piscataway, NJ-based American Standard.
"Homeowners tell us that the pros make their dreams even better by showing them design and product options they had never considered."
To enter the 2003 competition, design professionals need to fill out an entry form, which is available at www.americanstandard-us.com/trade, and submit "before" and "after" photos of the nominated bathroom remodels. Those projects must include American Standard and/or Porcher products, the competition's sponsors said.
Contest entrants will also be asked to briefly describe the
homeowner's requirements and how they used their expertise in space
planning, product knowledge and/or aesthetics to realize the
Entries must be postmarked by December 31, 2002.
There is no charge to enter one or more bathroom remodels for consideration, and the winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize, the companies announced.
A panel of judges will determine the contest winner, based on how he or she used expertise to guide the homeowner, along with the impact of the before and after photos. The winner will be announced in February, 2003, according to American Standard and Porcher.
