New Show Dates Announced for K/BIS 2003
Orlando, FL The 2003 Kitchen/ Bath Industry Show (K/BIS) and National Kitchen & Bath Conference, to be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, has been rescheduled for April 11-13, according to the Hackettstown, NJ-based National Kitchen & Bath Association and the Chantilly, VA-based VNU Expositions, co-sponsors of the show.
The show, which is the largest international event for kitchen and bath dealers, designers, retailers, contractors, architects, wholesalers and other industry professionals, was previously scheduled to take place March 28-30.
After determining the dates of the show, it was realized that the originally scheduled K/BIS dates conflicted with the popular ISH show, according to NKBA. Scheduled to take place in 2003 March 25-29 in Frankfurt, Germany, the biennial ISH brings together bathroom product manufacturers and other plumbing professionals from around the world, including many from the U.S. As a result, many exhibitors were opting to exhibit only at ISH, and K/BIS stood to lose significant exhibitor revenue, according to a source close to the show.
"We are exceptionally pleased that we were able to accommodate this change, especially for the involvement of our international exhibitors," said 2002 NKBA president-elect Les Petrie, CKD, CBD.
"This is a great opportunity for kitchen and bath professionals to take part in our very important industry event, while still meeting other industry obligations. I am very pleased and grateful for the cooperation of VNU Expositions, Orange County Convention Center and all parties involved for the smooth transition to our new dates," Petrie added.
"Staging the most successful event possible for our exhibitors
while accommodating industry needs is our top priority," stated
