BEMA Announces Design Awards
Topeka, KS The Bath Enclosure Manufacturers Association (BEMA), a non-profit trade organization dedicated to consumer awareness of the advantages to bath enclosures, based here, has announced its 2002 Bath Enclosure Design Awards.
Co-sponsored by Comet Heavy Duty Bathroom Cleaner, the awards program recognizes and rewards exceptional bathroom designs that use a shower or tub enclosure instead of a shower curtain to enhance the bathing experience, the company says.
"The shower enclosure is often the central design element in today's bathroom. As the sophistication of enclosures continues to grow, more and more consumers are opting for custom enclosures and heavy glass," says Tom Sulock, BEMA president.
The competition consists of two categories: Installations up to $1,500 and Installations over $1,500. The enclosures must have been completed between January 1 and December 31, 2002. Award judging is based on the complexity of the enclosure design and how well the enclosure works with the overall design of the bathroom.
Winners will receive airfare and hotel accommodation for two to attend the BEMA Annual Meeting, held in conjunction with the GlassBuild America Show, which will be held in Atlanta, GA on March 12-14, 2003. Deadline for entries is January 10, 2003.
