Hansgrohe Honors Sept. 11 Heroes
Alpharetta, GA Hansgrohe Inc., a manufacturer of decorative faucets, showerheads and related products for the kitchen and bath, recently sponsored a special dinner to pay tribute to New York and New Jersey law-enforcement officials who died during rescue operations at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2002.
Organized annually during National Police Week by the New York State Fraternal Order of Police (NYS FOP), the dinner honors police officers nationwide who have lost their lives in the line of duty during the past year.
This year's event, held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington D.C., was attended by nearly 400 guests, including the families and friends of 71 fallen officers, local and national law-enforcement officials, Hansgrohe representatives and escorting police officers.
The tribute featured a number of noted speakers and special guests. Among them were Elaine L. Chao, secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor; Steve Young, national president of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP); and Patrick J. Lynch, president of the PBA of NYC.
