Henderson, NV Michael Duggan, one of the driving forces behind the vision, formation and operation of the International Solid Surface Fabricators Association (ISSFA), has resigned his executive leadership post at the assocation to pursue other business opportunities.
Duggan's unexpected resignation was announced by ISSFA at the
association's recent annual trade show and convention. Stan
Szczepanski, who worked under Duggan at ISSFA's national
headquarters here, will serve as director of operations for the
organization, ISSFA announced. Glenda Scheuermann will serve as
office administrator, the association added.
ISSFA was founded several years ago, largely as a result of the efforts of Duggan, a former solid surface fabricator and publisher of Kitchen & Bath Design News' sister trade magazine, SolidSurface. He oversaw the day-to-day operations of the association as it grew to an international association of more than 1,000 members.
Duggan's new company, also based in the Las Vegas area, will be involved in trade show management and related activities.
"Mike is an extremely energetic and focused individual for whom challenge is a way of life," said ISSFA president Michael Wilson-South. "His success in establishing the association and guiding it to a point of strength and respectability in the solid surface industry is the paradigm for the true entreprenuerial spirit."
"His able administration of ISSFA will certainly be missed," Wilson-South added. "I am extremely grateful for my association with him these past five years."
