The "Managing for Profit" program, unique to the kitchen and bath industry, made its debut in 1999 with a pair of enthusiastically-received sessions in Boston and San Francisco.
Two leading business management educators Hank Darlington and Stephen Vlachos, CKD, CBD have been retained once again in 2000 to facilitate the unique, one-day seminar, which is targeted primarily at the owners of kitchen and bath dealerships and remodeling firms.
The seminar is aimed at delivering practical, in-depth strategies regarding finances, profit margins, customer service, personnel, administration and other aspects of business management at the retail level, all within the context of a rapidly-changing and increasingly competitive kitchen and bath industry.
NKBA members can register for the seminars for $100; non-members
pay $175; sponsors' customers and guests are admitted on a
complimentary basis. "Managing for Profit" also qualifies attendees
for ongoing professional development credits (OPD) and continuing
educational units (CEU), the NKBA noted.
