Where are window trends going? What’s next?
Builders are pushing the envelope with large expanses of glass – but without compromising on efficiency. By mixing different operable and non-operable window types in a glass wall, they get both the visual impact and the operating flexibility. Builders are also beginning to think of cubic footage instead of square footage – building up and using windows to create additional space or the feeling of space. Finally, the industry is taking a more holistic view of the overall performance of a window. We’re not just talking about energy efficiency anymore. Design pressure ratings continue to be very important and people want to know that their window will perform for years to come.
