CEH Case Study

The Cool Energy House project is a deep retrofit demonstration house that will save more than an estimated 50 percent in total energy costs. The project, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Building America Program, showcases technical and business innovations. The Building America Retrofit Alliance (BARA) and Consortium for Advanced Residential Buildings (CARB) teams, both under contract through the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), joined to offer their expertise in energy-efficient retrofit design and public presentation.
