Cabinetmakers and Remodelers Share Optimism
Recent surveys show cabinetmakers and remodelers share an equally optimistic outlook for 2012.
Nearly four of five cabinetmakers (79 percent) are optimistic that business will be better in 2012, according to the first annual Milwaukee-based Cabinet Makers Association “Cabinet Industry Benchmarking Survey.” Remodelers are almost as optimistic; nearly two-thirds (64 percent) of Qualified Remodeler readers polled expect revenue to be up in 2012 ( January issue, page 32).
More than half (56 percent) of cabinetmakers participating in the survey said their business grew in 2011, and of those, 29 percent reported growth of 20 percent or more. Remodelers reported similar percentages. Forty-seven percent of QR readers reported business was up in 2011, and 14 percent reported growth of 20 percent or more.
