Architects are essential to design collaboration
Consumers don't properly value an architect's design skills, as these tasks sometimes fall to the builder or interior designer who get paid for it
While the Salon.com article is a sad commentary on our profession, we architects know it’s not an exaggeration. One silver lining in all that gloom is consumers’ desire for well-designed, cost-effective homes at all price levels. Architects are the best-suited professionally to achieve this; we just need to find a way to garner proper compensation
