Modern. Upbeat. Smart. Organic. Functional.
Each of these words can be used to describe the products showcased at the 31st Annual Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS). Chicago's McCormick Place was all abuzz in late April, with kitchen and bath product manufacturers interacting with designers, dealers, remodelers and other industry professionals, discussing what's new, current and coming next.
Products on the show floor reflected the best in kitchen and bath design trends, including technologically "smart" products that interact with iPads and smart phones and updated storage and functional products that streamline everyday life. However, looks were also paramount, as spectacular design elements were everywhere - from the latest in faucet and hardware finishes to bright, bold colors and patterns in countertops and tile. Fittings and fixtures took on more modern shapes, with appliances and cabinets adopting more streamlined looks.
On this and the following seven pages, KBDN highlights some of the show-stopping products that were on display at KBIS 2012.
