WASHINGTON - Nov. 30, 2012 - Custom home builders across the nation are invited to enter the National Association of Home Builders 2012 Custom Home Builder of the Year Award competition. The seventh annual award recognizes the professional achievement of one builder who creates exceptional and innovative one-of-a-kind custom homes, exhibits a high level of customer service, and demonstrates impactful leadership and dedication within their company, the industry and local community.
"The NAHB Custom Home Builder of the Year Award showcases superior talent and commitment to the custom building industry," said Keith Butz, Custom Home Builder Committee Chair. "From design to construction, business practices to philanthropy, NAHB recognizes custom home building at its finest."
To be eligible for the award, a nominee must:
- Be a custom home builder
- Mastered the skill of converting client wish lists into unique homes that complement both lifestyle and surroundings
- Demonstrate excellent leadership qualities in his or her business
- Be active in NAHB or in their state and/or local building association
- Be involved in the local community

Potential award winners can nominate themselves or nominated by a colleague. The winner will be honored at a luncheon held at the 2013 International Builders' Show in the Custom Building Central on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The builder selected for the yearly award will be featured in national trade magazines and NAHB publications to promote their success and achievement.
