Brighter, lighter bathroom

This homeowner was unhappy with how dark the old bathroom was, as well as the tiny shower and green carpeting. The biggest challenge was finding a way to keep the tub and enlarge the shower without removing walls. By switching the location of the tub and shower the space was better utilized. The smallest available drop-in tub was specified, which was wrapped with a deck to make a shower seat. Lighting problems were solved by hanging a chandelier, while recessed lights added drama to the room. Two sconces were added to the vanity area.
