Las Vegas, NV - KBIS 2014, which was a key part of last week's Design & Construction Week in Las Vegas, far exceeded its pre-show hype. Indeed, the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, along with the 2014 International Builders Show, was a resounding success for exhibitors and attendees alike.
Tens of thousands of people jammed the two halls of the venue over the three-day event, learning about the best and most innovative products available on the market, and catching a glimpse of what is to come for the industry. Multiple keynote speakers and lively educational presentations rounded out the event.
Grayed browns and rustic finishes were everywhere in cabinets, paired with sleek fixtures and a varied range of faucet and hardware finishes – including a growing presence of gold. Transitional styles continue to grow in popularity, even being introduced by companies devoted to the traditional look. And contemporary looks are catching fire, offering an interesting juxtaposition to the earthy, rustic grains and textures being shown. Energy and water efficiency continued to be key buzzwords, with lighting, showers and appliances all incorporating the most efficient technology.
