Tile creates a waterfall effect

A couple with an affinity for Asian and contemporary themes needed a new guest bathroom that more than one person could comfortably share. The 91-sq.-ft. space harmonizes tranquil colors, the visuals of flowing waterfalls and the serenity of clean, Asian-inspired lines. The waterfall theme is repeated in the shower in the niche of glass tile and flowing lines of tile on the floor. The niche was designed to evoke a window with an extra-wide span to expand the space visually. The tile was selected in a slightly uneven composition to give the sense of water and movement. The shower's linear tile insets are repeated in the rest of the room to establish a clean, sophisticated sense of continuity.
