Great Lakes Windows has unveiled ecoSmart replacement windows, available with glass package options that include a 1-inch insulated glass unit on some product styles. The vinyl series has center of glass U-values down to 0.11 in all styles and total unit U-values as low as 0.14 in fixed units or 0.16 in double-hung units. High-density solid-polyurethane insulation in the frame and sash of double-hung and sliding windows provide heat-flow resistance. Complementary sliding door options also are available with the line.

All windows and patio doors in the ecoSmart line are made with Exo-Guard, a low-maintenance vinyl exterior shield, designed to withstand harsh weather and maintain a solid base color without painting or staining.

Great Lakes Window produces a full line of maintenance-free sliding and hinged (pictured) patio doors. The hinged patio door provides a multipoint concealed locking system with an exterior dead-bolt key lock. It is available in 5- or 6-ft. widths and can be ordered so it opens from the left or the right.

The vertical section of the window extends about 18 in. beyond the exterior walls of the home. Stainless steel hinges and user-friendly operating hardware allow casements to open to a full 90 degrees for maximum ventilation.
