Porter-Cable has launched two infrared thermometers: PCC581B, compatible with the 18-volt Porter-Cable lithium ion or NiCd batteries, and PCC582B, compatible with standard 9-volt alkaline batteries. The thermometers incorporate a temperature indicator beam that changes color when a difference in temperature is detected. A blue beam identifies a cool spot, and a red beam shows a hot spot.
