Spark Modern Fires has released its DV 48, a 48-inch-wide by 12-inch-tall direct-vent fire ribbon. The fire ribbon attracts focus to the flame because the ratio of flame to box is greater than in preceding models. Features include a fixed glass front, high heating efficiency and a black satin interior finish.
The Direct Vent Vu Thru fireplace from Spark Modern Fires can be installed without a chimney or hearth. The fireplace, which is up to 80 percent efficient, can be vented to the outside through a roof or exterior wall without drafts. It is accepted by all major building and mechanical codes and approved for bedrooms, bathrooms and common rooms.
