Subaru’s RGX6500 and RGX7500 generators are a mid-range option featuring overhead cam (OHC) EX Series engines. The RGX6500 is powered by Subaru’s 12-hp EX35 engine and delivers a maximum output of 6,500 watts. It has a 7.3-gallon fuel tank and offers 10.3 hours of continuous operation at the rated load. The RGX7500 is powered by Subaru’s 14-hp EX40 engine with a maximum output of 7,500 watts. It has a 7.3-gallon fuel tank and 7.4 hours of continuous run time at the rated load.

Subaru generators feature the latest in inverter generator technology which reduces running sound. Conventional generators run the engine at full speed regardless of the amount of power being used, while inverter generators run the engine at a slower speed for low power use and automatically increase speed as more electrical power is required. Further sound reduction is achieved through the reverse cooling design. This allows the generators to be enclosed in a sound-absorbing poly-resin enclosure. Models are available in 1,650-, 3,200- and 4,300-watt capacities.

Subaru’s new line of SGX Generators feature overhead cam EX21 engines. Model SGX3500 uses a 7-horsepower engine and can run for eight continuous hours at the rated load. SGX5000 has a 9.5-horsepower engine with more than nine hour of continuous run time. Model SGX7500E has a maximum output of 7,300 watts and can continually run for seven hours. All offer OSHA-compliant ground fault circuit interrupter receptacles.
