PELLA, Iowa -- The Sunday, Nov. 2, episode of ABC television network’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” will include products manufactured and donated by Pella Corporation. The episode will air at 8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central on ABC-TV.
The makeover in Geneva, N.Y., marks the 20th appearance of Pella products, and the first for EFCO, a Pella Company, to help complete the new construction of a home for a deserving family featured in the series. Pella wood windows manufactured in Sioux Center and Carroll, Iowa, and Macomb, Ill., and EFCO aluminum doors manufactured in Monett, Mo., were included in the new home built for this episode.
“The Pella and EFCO teams were honored to help create better views for this special family by teaming up with ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,’” said Kathy Krafka Harkema, Pella Corporation spokesperson. “The windows and doors and the unique expertise of the dedicated people who supply and service them make Pella and EFCO a natural fit for these projects. We thank the Pella Window & Door Showroom team in and EFCO representatives Bon-Ton Glass, both of Syracuse, New York, in addition to our corporate team members who were so instrumental in this special project.”
Each episode features a race against time on a project that would normally take at least four months to achieve, involving a team of designers, contractors and several hundred workers who have just seven days to build an entire house plus the exterior and landscaping. Viewers see the transformation of the home and the reactions and emotions of the deserving homeowners.
